AuthorRon Hunninghake, MD

Dr. Hunninghake is the Chief Medical Officer for the Riordan Clinic. Dr. Ron, as patients fondly refer to him, has been with Riordan Clinic for over 30 years. He oversees the team of clinical providers and continues to treat patients for complex chronic illnesses, hormone and thyroid imbalances, heavy metal and other toxicities. When people can’t get the answers they need from traditional medicine, they look to Dr. Ron.

He began his career as a small-town family physician in Salina, KS. The busy-ness of his practice and late-night patient calls began to impact his health and habits. He knew he needed to make some changes. When he joined Salina Family Physicians he was instrumental in founding WellPlan, a comprehensive lifestyle modification program that helped him and his patients get back on track. Down the road when he met Dr. Riordan, his deep interest in wellness made it a natural choice to join the Riordan Clinic team. He became the clinic’s Medical Director in 1989.

In addition to seeing patients, Dr. Ron’s career has been very full. He co-authored three books, was the former Chairman of the International Schizophrenia Foundation, has presented over 300 lectures on a variety of health-related topics, is a regular presenter at the Orthomolecular Medicine Today conference, and continues to travel the world to lecture about the Riordan Clinic IVC Protocol for Cancer.
